Featured readers that evening who are in the "all the days after" anthology include Theodore A. Harris (who's work also graces the cover and will be found on Amiri Baraka's and Tony Medina upcoming books), Lamont B. Steptoe-longtime activist, acclaimed poet, father, vet and general bad ass, Jhon Clark & Erik R. two of the editors/ Upsidedown Culture collective members. Also reading: Samantha Barrow and Maleka Fruean.

JULY 11, 2003: MONTCLAIR AMPHITHEATER

The 2003 NJ Slam Team will be performing at the Montclair High School
Amphitheater. Our regularly scheduled slam is moving outside into the summer air and under the moonlight. We will have the wide open mic, the members of the 2003 NJ Slam Team – Flowmentalz, Gemineye, Rob Hylton and Brother Earl and some special guests including, The Welfare Poets out of NYC. This is a big move for us so come out and give us your usual support. The amphitheater is located next to Montclair High School, which is at the corner of Chestnut and Park St. Admission $10, show starts at 9 PM

AUGUST 16, 2003: PICTURE THE HOMELESS FUNDRAISER

The Welfare Poets will perform in support of Picture the Homeless, an organization dedicated to empowering the homeless and powerless.
